A separate router and Wi-Fi network at the second building

Extend Starlink, NBN or another existing internet connection to a granny flat, rental, office or secondary building up to 3 km away, then give that building its own UniFi Express 7 router and Wi-Fi 7 network.

Choose this kit when: the second building needs its own router, Wi-Fi name, password and local network. It is ideal when you want clearer separation between the main property and a granny flat, office or guest accommodation. Both buildings still share the same underlying internet service.

Potential link speed

Up to approximately 450+ Mbps total wireless link throughput under ideal conditions. This is the potential speed of the building-to-building bridge; the UniFi Express 7 and Wi-Fi 7 do not increase the speed carried across that bridge. Actual internet and Wi-Fi speeds depend on distance, clear line of sight, radio alignment, interference, your internet plan and connected devices.

How it works

  1. An airMAX radio at the main building carries the internet connection across the wireless bridge.
  2. A second airMAX radio receives the connection at the remote building.
  3. A UniFi Express 7 provides routing, network management and indoor Wi-Fi 7 coverage.

Choose your bridge radio

LiteBeam 5AC Gen2 (value) is lightweight and cost-effective for shorter or easier links. PowerBeam 5AC Gen2 (long-range) uses a higher-gain dish for stronger performance at distance. For links beyond 3 km, ask about our LiteBeam 5AC-LR or PowerBeam 620 options.

Choose Supply only for equipment ready for you or your installer to mount and configure. Choose Pre-configured & tested and our technicians will configure the wireless link and UniFi Express 7, secure the network and bench-test the complete system before dispatch.
